Food for a million

The legend about luminous dumplings

Oh dear the food in Russia very much to write – and the same lie. Say, throughout the Russian press and the surrounding roamed the list of the most expensive dishes in the world. For a long time the rating was headed by a ravioli of moose, salmon and something else, supposedly standing 4400 dollars per serving, because they added iron fish-torch, causing the ravioli Shine. Allegedly served in the restaurant “Golden gates” in the Bronx.

In Bronx the restaurant “Golden gate” is the Chinese, the most expensive dish is $ 10. Fish-torch doesn’t exist in nature, is a household name luminous anchovy, fish common and not too expensive. No glowing iron, the fish will not be lit separately from fish, especially being placed in the dumplings. And so on – would be hunting to check. So widely circulated a list of the most expensive in the world of food is either outdated, or false initially. Continue reading

Exotic dishes

I don’t know how to cook inspirational food and frankly too lazy to stand at the stove for four hours in a row. I want to lie on the couch, read a book, or better yet, eat something made by the hands of others for some reason and the soup and fish, and pies, made not on their own, seem to me to be delightfully tasty.

Solely due to my laziness in our family caught the “exotics”, there are all sorts of strange, five-storey cakes and rooster broth. Yes, Yes, don’t be surprised, it’s not a typo. Rooster broth exist in nature, only cooking it will have almost the whole day, and not just boil a pot on the stove, and consistently produce a lot of action: lay the fish, cook it, take out, put in stock ready to cock… well, torment.

But still, very rarely, I do for their domestic and some exotic, in my opinion, the dishes. Recipes provide below only fair warning – be patient.

Stuffed cucumbers

2-4 fresh cucumber of medium size, 150 g minced meat or 500 g of finely chopped stewed mushrooms, 50 grams of white bread or 1-2 tbsp. tablespoons boiled rice, 1 large onion (if desired in the stuffing, you can add 1-2 raw or hard-boiled eggs and chopped), parsley, salt, pepper, 1-2 tablespoons of tomato paste, sour cream or yogurt, dill, lemon juice, oil for frying, a little flour. Matsutake mushrooms. The rarity of these fungi raises their price to $ 1000 per pound. Matsutake or mattace from Japan and are growing in several Asian countries, but their number is significantly reduced insects that destroy trees in whose shade usually grow these mushrooms. So as a way to cultivate matsutake no, there is a possibility that they may even disappear from the face of the Earth. So who are the mushroom omelet? Expensive smurf…

The most expensive bagel. Although a healthy diet bagels are high, these muffins are pretty hearty and tasty. And inexpensive. Although this beyglu this is not the case, as he slathered cream cheese, flavoured with white truffles, Zlatolist and jam from the berries Goji. How about to eat this for Breakfast? Yes? Well, then get ready to dump it for $ 1,000 because white truffles occupy second place in the list of the most expensive in the world of commodities in terms of price/weight. Continue reading
